Three Haiku
A setting of three haiku by Anoosheh Dastbaz for Choir and Organ and employing the Hodie plainchant as borrowed material.
1: paradise sinks hence (May 2011)
2: under a hushed moon (Oct. 2011)
3: he will bring the day (Incomplete)
The Lord brought the day.
Then came the fall, darkening all.
Paradise sinks hence.
Under a hushed moon.
Sound is stolen, sight is stopped.
Our world a wide tomb.
Away with the night.
Darkling sin, usher in light.
He will bring the day.
